Scientists, engineers and philosophers alike warn us that without a radical shift in our thinking, we are on track to be the last generation of pure humans that the world will know. Within a single generation we will devolve into a hybrid species of synthetic bodies, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and computer chips that limit our ability to think, to love and to adapt to the conditions of the emerging world in a healthy way. In doing so we will also lose our capacity for emotion, empathy, intimacy and forgiveness, the very qualities that we value and cherish in our humanness.

The question that we face is simple: Do we love ourselves enough to preserve the gift of our humanness? Our answer is based upon the way we’ve been taught to think of ourselves.

This day-long event is a compelling journey of self-discovery that will catapult you beyond conventional thinking when it comes to your origins, your limits and, most importantly, the abilities that have been hidden from you for centuries, and the extraordinary potential that awaits as you embrace them.

Together, we will unlock our personal code of emotional intelligence and advanced neural networks that allow us to excel in everyday life, to heal our traumas and thrive in times of uncertainty. Pure Human is designed to heal the false beliefs, fear and limited life programs that keep us locked into the ancient patters of fear and powerlessness.

There are rare moments in time when we make choices that
irreversibly change the world, and our lives, forever.
Today is one of those moments.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

AI Breakthrough in Human Action Detection Technology – Science Daily, October 17, 2024

What if a security camera could not only capture video but understand what’s happening — distinguishing between routine activities and potentially dangerous behavior in real time? That’s the future being shaped by researchers at the University of Virginia’s School of Engineering and Applied Science with their latest breakthrough: an AI-driven intelligent video analyzer capable of detecting human actions in video footage with unprecedented precision and intelligence.

The system, called the Semantic and Motion-Aware Spatiotemporal Transformer Network (SMAST), promises a wide range of societal benefits from enhancing surveillance systems and improving public safety to enabling more advanced motion tracking in healthcare and refining how autonomous vehicles navigate through complex environments. China Unveils Quadruped Robot That Can Cross Rough Terrain at High Speeds – Newsweek, November 13, 2024

Chinese robotics company Deep Robotics has debuted a new rugged high-speed quadruped robot that can jump, climb and back-flip its way across difficult terrain with ease.

The four-legged Lynx robot is different from its predecessors in that it gets about on all-terrain wheels rather than solid feet, looking like its construction is partially inspired by quad bikes as much as traditional robotic mechanisms. The Deep Robotics video shows the Lynx bot traveling at speed in a woodland setting, navigating its way uphill and downhill at 50 degree inclines, as well as over large obstacles from rocks to low walls. The robot can easily switch from standing on four feet to two feet, even back-flipping and taking sharp turns at speed. Read more here.

Robot That Watched Surgery Videos Performs With Skill of Human Doctor, Researchers Report – Science Daily, November 11, 2024

A robot, trained for the first time by watching videos of seasoned surgeons, executed the same surgical procedures as skillfully as the human doctors.

The successful use of imitation learning to train surgical robots eliminates the need to program robots with each individual move required during a medical procedure and brings the field of robotic surgery closer to true autonomy, where robots could perform complex surgeries without human help. If Kennedy Talked to Trump 2 Years From Now About Vaccines – Substack, November 4, 2024

RFK: Mr. President, my task force has completed the current phase of their investigation.

TRUMP: And?

RFK: Well, sir, there’s something about the COVID vaccines.

TRUMP: What? I thought we had that straight when you endorsed me.

RFK: Actually, we agreed to disagree then. Anyway, we’ve done a thorough investigation, and it’s definite that the COVID vaccines have killed and wounded an enormous number of people, and the vaccine was never actually designed, in the first place, to prevent serious illness, hospitalization, or death.

Officials Responded in Lock-Step to COVID on Cue; How Did That Happen? Here’s an Answer Nobody Talks About – Substack, October 31, 2024

When it’s time to declare a fake pandemic based on a virus that doesn’t exist, what do the show runners need? They need a vast network of people who can hype this pandemic to the skies. Right away. Boom.

If these people are all “experts,” who are in lock-step about fake viruses in general and a brand new one specifically, well, you can’t do better than that. It’s perfect. More here.

Study Reveals COVID Boosters Linked to Thousands of Nursing Home Deaths, And the Toll Is Rising – Global Research, November 11, 2024

Elderly people across the globe were assured that getting vaccinated against COVID-19 would safeguard them from death. However, a major new peer-reviewed study has exposed the devastating betrayal: COVID-19 mRNA boosters directly contributed to the deaths of millions of nursing home residents worldwide.

Promised protection, these vulnerable populations instead experienced increased mortality after receiving booster doses, with the very intervention meant to safeguard their lives actually hastening their deaths. Read more here.

Biden Regime Spent $1B Pushing LIES About COVID Jabs, Boosters and Masks, Congress Finds – Natural News, October 31, 2024

The U.S. House of Representatives has issued its report on COVID propaganda from the federal department of Health and Human Services (HHS) throughout the “pandemic,” and the findings are damning.

When all the dust settled, the regime of Joe Biden spent nearly $1 billion – all that money came from U.S. taxpayers, by the way – to propagandize the country into wearing masks and getting jabbed and “boosted” with all of the latest experimental drugs from Operation Warp Speed. Read more here.

Leaked Documents Confirm Pfizer’s COVID-Vaccine Was a Bio-Weapon – The Common Sense Show, November 11, 2024

Last year, Robert Kennedy Jr warned, “There are 138 companies involved in the manufacture and distribution of the Covid vaccine and they are all military companies – The Pentagon and the NSA directed the entire response to the pandemic.”

Fast forward to 2024, Dutch Health Minister Marie Fleur Agema admitted that COVID-19 was indeed a “military operation” orchestrated by NATO. Fleur Agema said the Dutch pandemic policy in 2021 was “under the direction of National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism (NCTV) and Defense.”

Mass genocide perpetrated by our own Governments is no longer a “conspiracy,” it’s now “fact.” The news comes after new explosive documents show that Pfizer was well aware of the dangers of its COVID-19 shots but pushed them on the world anyway. Read more here.

Flourishing Ecosystem Discovered Deep Beneath the Subseafloor, Sparking New Hope for Discovering Extraterrestrial Life – Debrief, October 17, 2024

In a groundbreaking discovery, scientists have uncovered vibrant animal life, including giant tubeworms, thriving beneath the subseafloor of deep-sea hydrothermal vents. The discovery challenges our understanding of life on Earth and broadens the possibilities of finding life in other seemingly inhospitable environments, including on distant planets throughout the universe.

“In our exploration, lifting lobate lava shelves revealed adult tubeworms and other vent animals in subseafloor cavities,” researchers wrote. “The discovery of animal life beneath the surface of the Earth’s crust raises questions concerning the extent of these ecosystems, which is larger than what can be seen on the seafloor surface.”  For years, the deep-sea subseafloor beneath hydrothermal vents was considered a barren, hostile landscape, home only to hardy microorganisms. The idea that larger, complex life forms could thrive in these extreme conditions seemed improbable. Read more here.

AI-Driven Mobile Robots Team up to Tackle Chemical Synthesis – Science Daily, November 6, 2024

Researchers at the University of Liverpool have developed AI-driven mobile robots that can carry out chemical synthesis research with extraordinary efficiency. In a study publishing in the journal Nature, researchers show how mobile robots that use AI logic to make decisions were able to perform exploratory chemistry research tasks to the same level as humans, but much faster.

The 1.75-meter-tall mobile robots were designed by the Liverpool team to tackle three primary problems in exploratory chemistry: performing the reactions, analysing the products, and deciding what to do next based on the data. The two robots performed these tasks in a cooperative manner as they addressed problems in three different areas of chemical synthesis — structural diversification chemistry (relevant to drug discovery), supramolecular host-guest chemistry, and photochemical synthesis. The results found that with the AI function the mobile robots made the same or similar decisions as a human researcher but these decisions were made on a far quicker timescale than a human, which could take hours. Neuromorphic Computing Breakthrough Could Enable Blockchain on Mars – Coin Telegraph, October 25, 2024

There aren’t any ATMs on Mars. In fact, the red planet currently has no infrastructure in place to support financial transactions. This poses a significant challenge for future colonists who want to order pizza using Bitcoin or trade apes with fellow non-fungible token (NFT) enthusiasts on Earth. The solution to this problem may have arrived in the form of recent research in the field of neuromorphic computing.

Traditional extraterrestrial communication is a complex, energy-intensive process that incurs minutes-long delays under the best of circumstances. As future colonists travel to Mars, their ship’s computers will quickly lose the ability to communicate with Earthbound computers and servers in real-time. Read more here.

Cells From Different Species Can Exchange ‘Text Messages’ Using RNA – Wired, October 13, 2024

For a molecule of RNA, the world is a dangerous place. Unlike DNA, which can persist for millions of years in its remarkably stable, double-stranded form, RNA isn’t built to last, not even within the cell that made it. Unless it’s protectively tethered to a larger molecule, RNA can degrade in minutes or less. And outside a cell? Forget about it. Voracious, RNA-destroying enzymes are everywhere, secreted by all forms of life as a defense against viruses that spell out their genetic identity in RNA code.

There is one way RNA can survive outside a cell unscathed: in a tiny, protective bubble. For decades, researchers have noticed cells releasing these bubbles of cell membrane, called extracellular vesicles (EVs), packed with degraded RNA, proteins, and other molecules. But these sacs were considered little more than trash bags that whisk broken-down molecular junk out of a cell during routine decluttering. Read more here.

Wearable Ultrasound Tech for Muscle Monitoring Opens New Possibilities in Healthcare and Human-Machine Interfaces – Science Daily, October 31, 2024

Researchers have developed a compact, wearable ultrasound device that monitors muscle activity. Attachable to the skin with an adhesive and powered by a small battery, the device wirelessly captures high-resolution images of muscle movements, enabling continuous, long-term monitoring. Memory is Stored in Cells Throughout the Body, Not Just the Brain – Earth.com, November 15, 2024

For a very long time, we have been under the impression that memory and learning are solely the brain’s forte. Central to this belief is the fact that our brains, particularly our brain cells, store memories. However, an innovative team of researchers begs to differ, suggesting that cells in other parts of the body partake in this memory function too.

The ability of non-brain cells to learn and form memories is a riveting discovery. This thought-provoking study provides us with a new understanding of memory’s mechanisms and paves the way for potential advancements in learning and memory-related afflictions treatment. Read more here.

Shell Wins Appeal Against Landmark Ruling That Ordered It To Slash 45% Of Its Emissions By 2030 – Forbes, November 12, 2024

A Dutch appeals court on Tuesday ruled in favor of oil giant Shell and overturned a landmark 2021 ruling by a lower court that ordered the company to sharply reduce its carbon emissions by the end of this decade, a major blow to activists pursuing legal measures to force companies to act on climate change.

Shell CEO Wael Sawan welcomed the ruling in a statement, saying: “We are pleased with the court’s decision, which we believe is the right one for the global energy transition, the Netherlands and our company…Our target to become a net-zero emissions energy business by 2050 remains at the heart of Shell’s strategy and is transforming our business. This includes continuing our work to halve emissions from our operations by 2030.” Read more here.

Climate Change Threatens Key Ocean Plankton Groups – Science Daily, November 13, 2024

Planktonic foraminifera are tiny marine organisms, which are essential to the ocean’s carbon cycle.

A recent study reveals that these populations are shrinking at an alarming rate due to ocean warming and acidification. Elevated CO2 levels and thus acidifying waters are making it harder for these single-cell organisms to form their shells, putting their survival at risk. Some foraminifera have begun migrating to cooler waters in an attempt to adapt, but environmental changes are occurring faster than they can keep up with. Read more here.

The U.S. Military Rigged a War Game. It Still Lost – Spoils of War, October 31, 2024

Millennium Challenge 2002 was the  U.S. military’s  most elaborate and expensive war game ever, designed to showcase the “military of the next century” on full display. Three years in the planning, budgeted at $250 million, it involved 13,500 participants waging mock war in nine training sites across the United States as well as 17 “virtual” locations in the powerful computers of the Joint Forces Command in Norfolk, Virginia. The scenario, on Iran, posited a “Blue” U.S. force pitted against a “Red” enemy bearing a strong resemblance to Iran.

U.S. Pledges Another $425 Million Military Aid Package for Ukraine – Natural News, November 8, 2024

The administration of outgoing President Joe Biden is set to expedite the delivery of another $425 million military aid package for Ukraine following calls from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for increased Western support. In September, Zelensky presented his “victory plan” to Biden during his visit to the White House. The “victory plan,” which seeks to enhance the position of Ukraine in the ongoing war, is intended to expand Western security guarantees for Ukraine, increase military aid and secure financial support. (Related: U.K. to send another $2.93B to Ukraine using stolen Russian assets.)

This, in turn, prompted the Biden administration to allocate substantial resources for Ukraine, including a new multi-million military aid package on Nov. 1. The $425 million military aid package, provided through the Presidential Drawdown Authority, allows for the immediate transfer of weapons and equipment directly from U.S. military reserves to support Ukraine. Included in the new aid package are munitions for the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems, Stinger missiles, counter-unmanned aerial systems technology, air-to-ground munitions and additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems. Israel Keeps Finding New Ways to Play Victim While Committing Genocide – Global Research, November 11, 2024

Israel is really struggling with how difficult its present circumstances make playing the victim. It keeps having to invent new abuses to be victimized by like the imaginary Amsterdam “pogrom” and the fake mass rape narrative that surfaced months after October 7, because it can’t sit comfortably in the role of victimizer while on trial for genocide in international courts.

Playing victim is too deeply ingrained in the narrative control strategies of Israel and its apologists, so they have to keep coming up with new and innovative ways for Israel to be victimized even when it is very clearly the last state on earth who has any business being viewed as such. Can There be an American-Russian Reset? – SOTT, November 13, 2024

The New York Post reports that Russians are floating the idea of a “reset” with the US made possible by Trump’s election as President. Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of Russia’s sovereign wealth fund said:

“Trump’s convincing victory shows that ordinary Americans are tired of the unprecedented lies, incompetence, and malice of the Biden administration. This opens up new opportunities for resetting relations between Russia and the United States.”

Trump and Putin are in favor of this, and so is the Russian media which is asking these kind of questions:

“What does the Trump administration mean for the conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine? Do you think he will be able to broker a peace, or at least a ceasefire, in at least one of those conflicts?

“Do you expect the US to scale back its defense commitments in Europe under Trump? If so, will this create an opportunity for European countries to move ahead with some sort of of vision of collective security that does not rely on the US? Perhaps something in line with Macron’s proposals?

“Do you expect any changes in the US-NATO relations? Will the alliance’s new secretary general, Mark Rutte, be able to effectively deal with the Trump White House?”

My response is that these are relevant questions. Trump has these intentions. Does he have the means? Read more here.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has outlined a number of promises to “Make America Healthy Again” under President-elect Donald Trump, vowing to combat an “epidemic” of chronic diseases that he has described as an “existential” threat to America’s future.

All are under the banner of fighting what Kennedy sees as a common thread behind a broad swath of ailments: that Americans have been “mass poisoned by big pharma and big food,” and that federal agencies have failed to stop it. In response, he has also floated a number of specific policy ideas to remake the federal government’s public health institutions.

Science Suggests Money Does Buy Happiness – And Not Just Up To a Point – CNA, November 6, 2024

The idea that money can’t buy you happiness is one of the world’s most persistent tropes. King Midas is granted his wish that everything he touches will turn to gold only to starve to death. Jay Gatsby finds that money can’t buy him Daisy’s love.

Succession proved to be so popular not just because the television series is so cleverly written but also because it dwells on the misery of the super-rich. The Roy children may live in a world of private planes, luxury yachts and subdued designer clothing, but their personal lives are marinated in toxicity. Better to be a happy peasant than Kendall Roy. But is there any real evidence for this? Or is it just a story we tell ourselves out of either resentment of the rich or a sense of social justice? With a potentially explosive Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) hearing set to take place in the House of Representatives, sources connected with the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense (DoD) have disclosed new and controversial details to Liberation Times. These sources allege that retrieval missions and covert legacy operations, stretching back as far as World War Two were reportedly conducted by the CIA in collaboration with key elements of the U.S. Defense establishment.

The sources, who spoke under strict conditions of anonymity, describe a shadowy history of missions dedicated to recovering exotic materials of non-human origin under the utmost secrecy. The revelations are expected to add weight to an already intense debate over U.S. government transparency regarding UAP, as officials and the public grapple with the implications of alleged, long-standing retrieval missions. Elon Musk’s Plan to Colonize Mars Unveiled: It Will Be On This Year – EcoNews, November 9, 2024

Considering the ambitious mission to reach Mars which SpaceX is working on, the perspective has changed from simply getting to the planet to the more complex issue of ensuring people can live there in the future. From Elon Musk’s perspective, he and his colleagues are investigating Martian dwellings, creating habitats, life support systems and even whether people will be able to give birth on the planet.

SpaceX is currently developing dome shaped living units for the future Mars settlers. The purpose of these structures is to provide protection, for example, from extreme low temperatures, dust chances and unbreathable atmosphere that Mars entail leaving within. Engineers venturing into low weight and durable materials to build the structures are also ensuring that basic services such as water, food, and waste disposal are available in the habitats. Furthermore, advanced life support systems will be employed to make the environment self-sustaining, albeit balancing structural requirements and making life on Mars as homely as possible. The Intellectual Property Risks of GenAI – Information Week, November 1, 2024

Generative AI’s wildfire adoption is both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, many people are using GenAI to work more efficiently, and businesses are trying to scale it in an enterprise-class way. Meanwhile, the courts and regulators aren’t moving at warp speed, so companies need to be very smart about what they’re doing or risk intellectual property (IP) infringement, leakage, misuse and abuse. Judge Temporarily Blocks Law To Put Ten Commandments On Display In Every Louisiana Classroom – Forbes, November 12, 2024

A federal judge in Louisiana sided with a group of parents who sued the state over a plan to require the Ten Commandments be displayed in every public school classroom, temporarily halting implementation of the rule while the lawsuit plays out in court.

Republican Gov. Jeff Landry in June signed HB71 into law, requiring all public schools in Louisiana to display the Ten Commandments beginning Jan. 1 in each classroom on a poster or framed document. The display must be at least 11 by 14 inches and include a four-paragraph “context statement” that calls the commandments a “prominent part of American public education.” Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill has said the posters will be paid for through private donations, not public education funds. The parents coalition sued the state just days after the law was signed, and the ACLU of Louisiana said it directly conflicts with state laws and violates precedent set by the Supreme Court in the 1980 case Stone v. Graham, which struck down a Kentucky law trying to require schools to post the Ten Commandments. Murrill has said she expects the lawsuit will go all the way to the Supreme Court. Read more here.

Economic Treason – Natural News, October 30, 2024

No matter who “won” the presidential election, the economy is not going to survive. Perhaps the whole banking system will fail, sparking hyperinflation like that of the Zimbabwean sort.

People tend to shrug their shoulders or wag their heads at one trillion dollars of debt service, because they know there’s nothing they can do about it. That doesn’t mean that it’s not serious or ultimately the republic-ending consequence of treason. Treason? Yes, treason. What the elected officials, even those who vote against spending bills, are doing is endangering the national security of the nation, as if there were anything left of it with wide-open borders. When the nation becomes so indebted that it cannot defend itself, it is the same as physically destroying their own military. What good are planes that can’t fly, because there’s no way to get the fuel? No one to haul it? The reason even those who vote against spending bills are guilty of treason, is they know it’s a means of looting the treasury and most of them will tell you outright that it is. Our treasury is part of a money-laundering scheme and when they need more money, they just print it, or more accurately, add zeros to a digital database.

Bitcoin Rises Above $90,000 on Trump Euphoria – Reuters, November 12, 2024

Bitcoin broke through the $90,000 level on November 6, to an all-time high in a rally showing no signs of easing on expectations that Donald Trump as U.S. president will be a boon for cryptocurrencies.

The world’s biggest cryptocurrency has become one of the most eye-catching movers in the week since the election and on Wednesday touched a record of $93,480 before paring gains. It was last down slightly at $88,185, but has risen 32% since the Nov. 5 election. Read more here.

Inflation Hit a Bump in October After Slowing For Six Straight Months – CNN Business, November 14, 2024

The annual rate of inflation moved higher last month for the first time since March, as expected but economists say the underlying trend remains favorable for another round of interest rate cuts.

Consumer prices rose 0.2% last month and were up 2.6% from the year before, according to the latest Consumer Price Index data released Wednesday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Housing-related inflation accounted for half of the monthly rise, and energy prices were flat after dragging down the overall index for four of the past six months. The Consumer Price Index measures price changes across commonly purchased goods and services. Read more here.

PROVOCATIVE IDEAS

They Are Scrubbing the Internet Right Now, Along with Its Memory – Need To Know, November 3, 2024

Not only is social media banning and shadow-banning content, but Archive.org suffered a massive Denial of Service/ DDOS attack and has stopped chronicling the life of the Internet in real time. It is now a read-only service up to the date of the attack on October 8, 2024.

For the first time since the invention of the web browser itself, researchers have been robbed of the ability to compare past with future content. The standard approach to know who said what and when is now gone. In addition, Google no longer offers a cached version of links. Alexa, a service that once ranked websites, was purchased by Amazon and has also disappeared. More here.

Harvard LIED: Data Shows Nearly 14,000 U.S. Minors Were “Transitioned” (i.e. Mutilated) to LGBT Between 2019 and 2023 – Natural News, October 14, 2024

New research by the public advocacy group Do No Harm has found that between the years of 2019 and 2023, a total of 13,994 minors across the United States received “gender-affirming care,” which for more than 5,700 of them included body butchery in the form of transgender surgery.

Debunking a Harvard University study from back in June that claims there is “little to no utilization of gender-affirming surgeries by transgender and gender-diverse (TGD) minors in the U.S.,” Do No Harm’s research proves once and for all that LGBT perversion has reached the bottom of the barrel in terms of the innocence being targeted by its doctrines. Millions of American children these days are being bombarded day in and day out with LGBT perversion at school, in media and online. Many of these kids end up believing the lies they are told by their teachers, politicians and Hollywood actors about the gender “spectrum,” prompting them to lob off body parts and take hormone-destroying pharmaceuticals in order to become their “true selves.” Read more here.

BIG PICTURE w/ James Patrick (Planet Lockdown) – Telegram, November 5, 2024

John Mearsheimer explains how the Israel lobby in the United States operates:

“This is not a case of all these politicians loving Israel and feeling they have to support Israel because it shares our values or is a strategic asset, they do it in good part out of FEAR, fear that the lobby will put its crosshairs on them…” Watch here.

Top 10 Ways Our Modern World is ENGINEERED to WRECK our Health, Intelligence and Livelihood – Natural News, November 7, 2024

You will hear and read every excuse in the book for why our government agencies are doing what they do to “help” produce, protect and sustain America’s food, medicine, education and military, but the reality is that most of what they do entails insidious methods to make a fortune while inflicting damage on our health, intelligence and livelihood.

Crops are adulterated so that corporations can make more money without any regard to human, animal or environmental safety and health. Entire ecosystems are polluted, destroyed and toxified with chemicals that cause cancer and dementia, while ruining the soil, the groundwater, and the nutritional value of food. Weather is modified, controlled and manipulated to produce storms, floods, droughts and fires that help corrupt organizations make money while conning millions of Americans into believing in “climate change.” Educational curriculum is dumbed down so children and teens graduate (if they do) with no critical thinking skills, limited ability to make a decent living, and a warped mind that has them thinking about gender fluidity and reverse racism all day. The History of The House of Rothschild – Natural News, October 30, 2024

The Rothschilds have been in control of the world for a very long time, their tentacles reaching into many aspects of our daily lives, as is documented in the following timeline. However, before you jump to the timeline, please read this invaluable introduction which will tell you who the Rothschilds are as oppose to who they claim to be. The Rothschilds claim that they are Jewish, when in fact they are Khazars. They are from a country called Khazaria, which occupied the land locked between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea which is now predominantly occupied by Georgia. The reason the Rothschilds claim to be Jewish is that the Khazars under the instruction of the King, converted to the Jewish faith in 740 A.D., but of course that did not include converting their Asiatic Mongolian genes to the genes of the Jewish people. The Politics of Cultural Despair: Read by Eunice Wong – Chris Hedges, November 11, 2024

Hypnotized by Subliminal Messaging & More: Unraveling the TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) Phenomenon – Substack, November 14, 2024

I’m going to take you down a rabbit hole, similar to how your parents did when they read you Alice’s Wonderland as a child. Remember when you thought the most sinister thing about your favorite childhood TV show was that annoying earworm of a neverending theme song?

Those were the good ol’ days. In 2017, I remember a Samsung website called “Unspoil Me,” claiming it could erase your memories of your favorite TV shows as a child, kid-you-not. This would have been one of my favorite two shows, The Bionic Woman or The Carol Burnett Show (it’s true, I wanted to grow up and become a Bionic Carol Burnett). This website promised to give me the “opportunity” to, once again, experience my favorite show as a child, but with a fresh set of eyes.

That’s correct. Once I checked off a box claiming I was over 18, this website took me through a series of prompts, asking me to recall specific childhood television shows. It then guided me through a multi-minute process of hypnosis, supposedly to erase all my memories of my beloved Jaime Sommers and Carol Burnett. More here,

First-Ever Ghost White Shark Discovered off Albanian Coast Stuns the World – Interesting Engineering, November 8, 2024

A commercial trawler recently made an unusual catch off the coast of Albania — a ghostly white deep-sea shark known as the angular roughshark (Oxynotus centrina). This rare specimen was found near Sazan Island, a secluded military outpost, at a depth of about 656 feet (200 meters).

The shark, critically endangered and typically dark gray or brown, stood out due to a rare genetic condition called leucism, which disrupts melanin production and causes reduced pigmentation. This marks the first time leucism has been documented in this species and in the shark’s entire family, Oxynotidae. A four-year-old girl, who doctors said would never walk, has defied expectations to take her first steps.

When she was a baby, she was diagnosed with Angelman syndrome, a rare genetic condition that causes severe physical and learning disabilities. Her parents were told to expect that their daughter would not be able to walk, talk, read, or live independently. However, a year later, they received a call from doctors reporting that she had been misdiagnosed. Then two-years-old, she actually had DUP15q syndrome, a similar but less severe disorder. Read more here,

Climber Sees Wings Trapped Under A Boulder And Saves Majestic Animals – The Dodo, November 13, 2024

Last month, a rock climber named Kelston was scaling the natural walls of Susquehanna Riverlands State Park in Pennsylvania when he eyed something strange, a pair of wings awkwardly poking out from under a boulder.

Anxious to help the eagle trapped underneath, Kelston immediately contacted Pennsylvania’s Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), who sent staff members to the base of the trail. DCNR rescuers knew they’d need a bird expert to ensure everything went smoothly, so they called Maryann, a capture transport wildlife volunteer, for backup. Rehabilitators treated the birds’ wounds and tested them for lead poisoning. With continued therapy and care, the eagles recovered. They became increasingly spicy and aggressive, signaling that they were preparing to return to their home outdoors. The eagles were ready for release by Veterans Day, making the moment especially emotional for all involved. Read more here.
